2005 Toyota Corolla XRS
The Toyota Corolla is the name to beat when it comes to compact sedans. It has
been one of the best selling vehicles in automotive industry by offering affordable
and reliable transportation. Though it has been a consistent winner in terms of
sales, it does not really measure up in terms of style and performance being on
the more sedate, conservative side. Now with the debut of the 2005 Toyota Corolla
XRS, new blood runs through the Corolla lineup. The XRS is the new pumped-up version
of the ever-reliable Corolla.

With the success of the enhanced Corolla S trim, Toyota chose to launch an all
new sport model; thus the XRS was born. It features a sports suspension and a
170-horsepower 1.8-liter engine. Also, the Corolla XRS offers exceptional acceleration
at less than 8 seconds from zero to sixty. The standard 6-cylinder engine, usually
found only in sports cars, produces smooth revving power and outstanding acceleration
compared to other cars in Corolla's segment.
The exterior and interior is jazzed up with a few new enhancements and sports-themed
additions. Lower ride height and spoilers add to the race-car feeling. The clean
and uncluttered interior offers comfort and a hint of luxury with a generous dash
of sportiness. Indeed, the 2005 Toyota Corolla XRS is poised to grab youthful
and forward-looking buyers (its target market) with its fine combination of power,
sportiness and reliability.
